ABOUT THE DAY

Chronic dissociation in childhood can lead to a dissociative disorder in adulthood. The most well-known of these is Dissociative Identity Disorder. This course will look at a range of topics including diagnosis and differential diagnosis, treatment plans, contracting and boundaries, pacing, working with different types of parts of the personality, pitfalls and landmines, processing trauma, and issues for the therapist.

Please note this day is aimed specifically at counsellors and psychotherapists working with dissociative clients in clinicial practice.
